A-Plant Equipment are a family owned and established hire business supplying Plant and Equipment to the Construction, Civil and Mining Sectors. We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic for a permanent position.
The ideal applicant will have sound knowledge of heavy earthmoving equipment, will be competent in performing routine maintenance across a broad range of equipment and can effectively repair machine breakdowns both in the workshop or in the field. Auto electrical and/or hydraulic experience would be an advantage.
As a Plant Mechanic you will be responsible for:
- Onsite breakdown repairs
- Servicing and repairs of all plant and equipment
- Photos of equipment including outside condition and hour meter
- Return from hire chargeable items finalized
- Check all fluid levels, grease all grease points
- Check and clean air filters
- Photos of equipment post cleaning
- Daily housekeeping of work area
Attributes:
- Experienced and Mature candidate who can Work Independently
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Drivers License Essential
- Forklift license an Advantage
- Self-Motivation
- Good Team Player
- Compliance With WHS
- Good Literacy Skills
Essential:
- 3-5 + years relevant experience post trade
- AUS recognized trade certification
- Previous experience conducting component change-outs / breakdowns and fault finding
Desirable:
- Auto electrical and/or hydraulic experience would be an advantage
- Experience in Caterpillar ET
- HR or HC licence
