A-Plant Equipment is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Rental Coordinator to join our growing team at our Yatala branch in Queensland.
As a family-owned business with more than 20 years of experience in the earthmoving equipment industry, A-Plant supplies reliable dry hire equipment to civil construction, mining, council and infrastructure projects across NSW and QLD. As demand continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
About the Role
Based in Yatala, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers hiring plant and equipment. From handling enquiries and preparing quotes through to coordinating deliveries and off-hires, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our fleet moving and our customers supported.
Working closely with our Branch Manager and workshop team, you’ll ensure equipment is delivered on time, documentation is accurate, and customers receive the level of service A-Plant is known for.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a salary of $75,000–$80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Manage incoming hire enquiries, quotations and bookings
- Proactively generate and follow up hire opportunities through outbound calls
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections
- Maintain accurate hire records and fleet availability
- Assist customers with hire extensions and off-hires
- Support invoicing and hire documentation
- Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working with customers. Ideally, you’ll have experience in equipment hire, transport, logistics or a similar coordination role, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Confidence in making proactive outbound sales and service calls is essential.
While experience within the earthmoving or construction industry is highly regarded, it’s not essential if you’re willing to learn and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
