A-Plant Equipment is a family-owned heavy earthmoving equipment dry hire business with branches in Orange, NSW, and Yatala, QLD.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Rental Coordinator to join our Orange team.
About the Role
Based at our Orange branch, you will be the first point of contact for customers hiring plant and equipment.
You will manage bookings, coordinate logistics and help keep our fleet moving efficiently between worksites. Working closely with our Branch Manager and workshop team, you will help ensure smooth equipment handovers, on-time deliveries and excellent customer service from the initial quote through to off-hire.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm
Salary: $75,000–$80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming hire enquiries, quotes and bookings
- Make proactive outbound calls to generate and follow up hire opportunities
- Coordinate equipment delivery and pick-up schedules with transport and workshop staff
- Maintain accurate hire records and fleet availability
- Liaise with customers regarding hire terms, extensions and off-hires
- Support invoicing and hire documentation processes
- Build strong relationships with new and repeat customers
Proactive outbound calling is an essential part of this position. This is not simply a reactive order-taking role.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in equipment hire, transport or logistics coordination, or a similar customer-facing role
- Confidence making proactive outbound sales and customer service calls
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Availability to commence work at 7:00 am
- Earthmoving or construction industry knowledge is highly regarded, but not essential
- A proactive, team-first attitude
